Muskrat (Ondatra zibethicus) Jawbone (cast) painted with International Klein Blue (IKB) that was smuggled into the United States from Australia. 3.5” long x 2” wide x 1.5” high.
A bit about (IKB). Yves Klein created ultramarine pigment suspended in a synthetic resin (Rhodopas), described by Klein as "The Medium" and discovered with the help of Edouard Adam, a Parisian paint dealer. Klein later put the formula in a Soleau Envelope, (sealed envelope) as a way to protect his invention for this recipe and to maintain the "authenticity of the pure idea”. This particular blue is now known as International Klein Blue (IKB). Supporting photos are for reference only and not considered part of the product for sale.
